Every year, as Louisiana gears up for Mardi Gras season, martial artists from across the country make their way to Kenner for one of the region’s most respected events in sport karate — the Louisiana Pro-Am Karate Tournament, promoted by Augustus Pee Wee Blanco and the Blanco family.
